Master Class Options
Included in the ticket price, each guest has the option of participating in a Master Class held in the hour prior to the start of the event at 5:00 pm. Each class has a maximum number of participants and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Guests do not have to participate in a Master Class to attend the event.

Partnership Dance
Curious about partner dancing? Join us for a beginner Rhumba class designed especially for adults new to partnership dance. Rhumba is a slow, romantic style that’s easy to learn and full of connection, with a few gentle dips to add flair. No experience or partner required—just come ready to move, connect, learn how to move together to different styles of music, and have a great time doing it. Sina Ebersole, longtime friend of Waimea Country School, parent of a previous WCS student, and dance teacher extraordinaire, has been teaching ballroom dance since 2003, sharing the joy of movement through competitions, performances, and classes for all levels. She believes that when movement is simple and touch is present, dance becomes a beautiful conversation between people.
No experience required; singles and couples welcome!

Fluid Art
Fluid art uses acrylic paint and a pouring medium to create one-of-a-kind, unique designs. The participant will choose a base color (black or white) in addition to 3-5 bright colors to be layered into a larger cup. They will learn pouring techniques and be guided to pour paint onto a 16×20 canvas. The canvas takes about 24 hours to dry and will need to be taken home wet or arrangements made to pick it up Monday. Instructor Wendy Wills is local to the island of Hawaii. She is the owner of Creation with Aloha and is passionate about helping children and adults to bring out their creative talents while having a fabulous time.

Lei Making
An introduction to lei haku (braiding) and lei wili (wrapping). Attendees will complete a hair comb and wristlet to wear and enjoy. Instructor Samantha Collins, a proud Waimea Country School parent, was born and raised in Hawai‘i and grew up immersed in hula and lei making. Her lifelong passion became her profession as the owner of Hiki Entertainment, a Polynesian entertainment company.

Passion for Bees: Talk Story Hour With a Novice Beekeeper
Curious about BEES? Interested in fun facts and anecdotes about these fascinating creatures? Join Monika Hennig, bee enthusiast and novice beekeeper, for an enlightening talk story hour. Monika took her first beekeeping class 15 years ago and has been keeping bees on and off since then. Most recently she has introduced her students to the hives and also makes beeswax candles with them. She is the current 7th grade teacher at Keystone Waldorf School in Honoka’a. She gives piano, singing, and classical recorder lessons after school and maintains three hives in the school garden.
