Waimea Country School, located in the heart of Kamuela on the Big Island of Hawaii, is a small, ‘ohana school with three multiage classes: ‘Ohi’a K/1st, Koai’a 2nd/3rd, Koa 4th/5th. We provide a warm, nurturing learning environment in a rural location.

The faculty is a tight-knit family of educators that also includes associate teachers, music, garden, and PE teachers, and administration. WCS families and volunteers are also key members of our learning ‘ohana.

We seek team members who embrace our philosophy of education, who bring skills, interests, and experiences that will enhance our learning program, and who take a long view in joining our ‘ohana.

Current Position Openings: 

Administrative Assistant: Assist in the day to day operation of the school. This is a part-time position, 3 days/week. Our bookkeeper works the other two days.

On-Call Substitute Teacher: Substitute as needed in case of teacher absence/illness.
